The Truth About Pineapple and Implantation

Who Knew..  Pineapple helps Implantation!

Yes it is true pineapple contains bromelain which is known to be an anti-inflammatory.  It also seems to increase cervical mucus making the uterus more "sticky" which leads to good implantation

The bromelain is located most prominently in the core of the pineapple.  Yes the harder core that most everyone discards when cutting a pineapple.  There are small traces in the rest of the pineapple as well.

Pineapple is a great source for Vitamin C and Fiber
100g of pineapple flesh = 43 calories

IVF In Vitro Fertilization: One Whole Pineapple divided into 5 portions.  Begin on the day of transfer for 5 days

IUI Intra-uterine Insemination:  One Whole Pineapple divided into 5 portions.  Begin on the day of your IUI for 5 days

Timed Intercourse:  One Whole Pineapple divided into 5 portions.  Begin on the day after ovulation for 5 days.

Tip:  Do not start early.  The pineapple will effect the vaginal and cervical mucus PH, making it more acidic.

Tip:  Also works better on an empty stomach

How To Cut A Pineapple

Twist or cut off the head of the pineapple
If you twist it off still cut a portion of both top and bottom off
Cut around the pineapple just deep enough

Once around you will have to trim a bit
 Cut into 5 pieces
Depending on how you are consuming you can cut out core

 Or dice the whole slice

Bag and store.  I choses to freeze and blend in a smoothie!
